Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2012
London, December 7, 2011Christopher Bailey does it again. I wonder if this genius will ever disappoint me but I find that highly unlikely. Christopher has transformed the Burberry Prorsum client into a pre-WWII beauty for the Pre-Fall 2012 collection. The garments look very romantic and extremely British which is what Burberry Prorsum is all about of course. The colour palette is traditional and elegant and the hemlines and silhouettes hug the models frame beautifully. The gowns at the end of the collection are flawless and I was pleasantly surprised to see them in this collection. I don’t know how Christopher Bailey manages to keep Burberry Prorsum so fresh, season after season. Yes we see the trademark trench coats and tweedy tailoring, but it always feels new and original whenever a new collection arises. I can see this collection being extremely popular amongst the fashionable-crowd, and I can also see The Duchess of Cambridge sporting a few of these designs at public events. She would look divine in one of those gowns.
